Sue Khoo... Lady of Style and Substance - continued
~Asian American Reporter/October 2006 Special Edition Issue

In 1996, Jacksonville and the Asian Community welcomed the Khoo family. Sue Khoo is married to Ray Khoo, a renowned and award winning international artist. They have two children, Angel and Jolly.

In Jacksonville, they opened what is now the largest Oriental and Improved furniture store, consisting of home furnishings, clothing, gifts, custom framing, flower arrangements, garden décor, paintings,  swords and many more items that is housed in more than 35,000 square feet of show room.  And what an amazing showroom! It is hard to walk in there and not want to take something home with you.

Although she is always busy, she still find time to volunteer and attend many fundraising event,  Sue is a member of the Asian Pacific Business Net work Membership,  Advisor to the Miss Asian Arkansas pageant and Main sponsor for the Asian Festival and the biggest supporter of all my endeavors. Recently, Unique Furniture donated some Living Room furniture to the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce Business Expo.

Her latest business venue was the newly opened Unique Connection Center. With more than 8300 square  ft. it is available for any organization party. It has 2 stages and a dance floor area.  It can be decorated  to fit the event.

Sue's latest achievement was when she was awarded Retailer of the Year at the Minority Business Development Week at the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce. During the Asian Pacific Heritage Month in May, she was guest speaker at the Little Rock City Hall Rotunda when the racial cultural Diversity Commission along with the Arkansas Amy National Guard hosted the Asian pacific Heritage month celebration. During this month, she was also the guest speaker at the Little Rock Air Force Base and was given the award of Excellence by Brig. General Kip L. Self.
