About Ms. Sue Khoo

Sue Khoo moved to the United States of Taiwan in 1973 with a  background in Medicine. She continued her education in New York until 1976. After that She studied business marketing and interior design as her second major during the 80's. She trained for flower arranging, specializing in Japanese style arrangements.

Sue began her furniture business in 1979. Her successes were so well received in the business community, she has been interviewed on Major television networks such as ABC, CBS and NBC.

Giving back to and being deeply involved in the community is important to Sue.  In 2004, she teamed with local Asian community groups to raise funds for the tsunami disaster in Asia. For her outstanding service in the community, she was named Honorary Citizen of Little Rock in 1989.

In June 2003, Sue was instrumental in adding more than 500 books to the state capital and Jacksonville city libraries by working with the Chinese Government. She also takes time to visits in the region to share Chinese Art and Culture. She supports Asian Pacific Coaltion for a Smoke-Free Arkansas. Sue is also advisor for Miss Asia Arkansas Pageant and Asian Festival. Sue sponsors and supports every year Chinese New year event, and fund raising for churches, senior citizens center, museum of military history, cub scouts, baseball team, schools and other non-profit organisations.  In 2006, she donated a complete living room furniture set to Jacksonville Business Expo for grand prize giveaway.

In addition to furniture, Sue has renovated the vacant theater on 638 West Main  Street into a facility called Unique Connection Center. The Center can accomodate anything from Wedding receptions to banquets, birthday parties and business meetings.

In Sept 2006,  She was named " Retailer of the Year" by Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Sue 's Bio
1971: Licensed Midwife in Taiwan
1973: Came to USA, studied in New York
1976: Moved to Texas
1979: started furniture business
1980s: Learn floral arrangement,  interior design, real Estate, Business admin.
1994: organised Dr Deming's memorial seminary class.
1996: moved to Jacksonville
